Whammie

Adulltskirt2

Whammie.... the winners are, first don't be sad, Now there are no losers in life, we love you all, just some are luckier than others. I guess. I'm never the lucky one. Well, once . I won the 50/50 raffle  at our high school football. I was so excited.  Yup, I could actually afford Arby's! Oh, by the way We are Marshall is out on DVD is it worth the trip top Blockbuster, or get it on On Demand.

Now back to business, as my son is screaming, Joe is now the silver Power ranger and David is cleaning the back yard and I'm being lazy on the computer.

Okay, here we go:  Can Stefanie Hansen please come 'on down, along with Debi Mohn, Crystal ( I'm guessing Crystal Garcia), Melissa Bontempo and lastly, Abigail Scarborough.

And because anyone who really knows me, will tell you I am a huge giver, let's take the gal with the dog Goliath, yup, that my dog also. Oh, and the girl with the St Bernard, god love her for I know all the shedding one does. And the gal with the dog named Captain Morgan. Okay, one more before I spend my entire Monday Packing gifts, the gal with the daughter Stella, and the Minnesota gal with 10 kids. Whew, I need your patience.

And don't go pretending, I can look it all up, I just don't have time to at the moment. Gabe is SCREAMING.

So send me your info/address and refresh my mind on sizing. Email it to me at matildajaneclothing@yahoo.com , subject LUCKY ME.  Be sure to do this, or else it may get lost in the email pile.

Lastly, thanks for all the sweet comments. I love you all. It is so nice to hear fabulous things. Ya, maybe I should do this more often. It is good for my ego.  And thank you so much for your patience. We are working endless hours to get the orders out and not one complaint yet. I think we are shipping at 2 1/2 weeks now. I can't tell you how much money I have spent on stupid paking tape.

Off to calm the beast.

The catch? You have to leave a post with your child's size, your location and your dogs name, dead or alive, stuffed or ceramic. I'll pick 5 names form the the magic boot so PRESS YOUR LUCK gals.

Thank you Miss Mary for the lovely photo. I seriously would've never put this dress with these boots. BRILLIANT.  It looks fantastic. I oughta get me a girl,  maybe my eyes would open up to a whole new world.

They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Well, guess what, no apples here. Yup, day 3 of the Atkins diet. And I don't want to hear about it. I did it before I had Joe and lost over 30lbs, and after Joe lost it all again. Now it's time to try it with this Gabe fat. What has this beast done to me.  That besides my lack of exercise. Someday I'll get back into that. Right now, I can barely squeeze in time for a shower.

So the fabric is off to print, we'll see. Three times is a charm.  I am full force a ahead into "Project X".  And Gabe is spilling 5000 buttons all over the floor as I type, now screaming. And I'm off to start the day. And the webkinz are starving at (56), YIKES.

What can I say? Here's another fantastically stunning MJC gal.  And her mom is just as wonderful http://www.brendaacuncius.com/

I have been getting so many sweet pictures. I'm trying to get the LookBook updated.  Ahh, that and 50 other things, like the dye job on my hair.  Whew, I think I am aging at lightening speed lately. Stress is not a good thing.

So we are starting to catch up at the shop. I think ship time is just over 2 weeks. Thanks so much for being so patient.   When I get a chance, I usually answer the call in orders. It is so fun talking to you gals, excuse me chattiness.  Sometimes it gets boring talking to Chris.  HA, oh, how I enjoy her company. She tried to back out of the Kansas City trip. After the last show without her, I was not going to let that happen.  Yup, she's coming and she said she'd be on good behavior.

Alrighty, I am back to coloring fabric. When I used to paint I always thought it would be fun to do my own fabrics, and guess what? I was wrong! It is oodles of work. It was great sketchin' it up, painting and making colors but the detailing is what I suck at. You know the actual instruction of it all. Now David, he would be a rockstar at this. Hmmm.. maybe he wants another job?

Stay tuned, we're having a giveway prety soon.  I am a good gift giver, so don't miss out.

September 19, 2007

I was just scrolling though some old photo's and had to share these sweet ones. It is amazing how kids grow.  How they become their own person.  I must say my boys are pretty darn sweet with the exception of the daily screaming.  We are doing everything we can to rasie them to be great men. And trust me, I have a wonderful husband so they have a great role model.  So I guess that is why I don't have girls. I am in charge of making great boys!

I am off to the workshop to clean up before the morning grind.

Have you ever seen a little chick with more personality. I just got this pic via email, and couldn't resist.

Just look at her little toes. Oh my, you just wanna squeeze her.

Okay now to complain. Notice I am Queen of Complaining lately? So I spent 2 hours last night looking for a baby outfit for a friend. Nope. Today we went tto the last option, nope. I did end up with a cute dress for an older baby. But why is it that they don't simple, sweet baby clothes. You know clothes that the baby wears, not that wear the baby.  Someone need to get making some. Not me.  I dare not venture in any other direction til I can handle my own plate.  I love tight little onsies and simple stuff on babies, I love their big bellies.  Everything is so , ewwww...

I need to dig up some pics of my cute babies so I can show you.

NOTE: We have been overwhelmed with orders and our shipping time has been bumped up to about 3 weeks. Yes, this sucks, bit we are trying our best. If it is an emergency we wil try our best, but I just wnat to give you a heads up. Also, we are starting to sell out of a few pieces.   So take your pick while you still can.

September 14, 2007

No, I am not drowning in my own pity party,  just work.

Thanks so much for all the sweet notes.  Why is it that we dwell on the few mean notes and take the wonderful 50 for granted? I need to get thicker skin.  OH, and I must say thanks to the darling Rebecca who brought me flowers.  LOVE YOU.  I was on my second day of no shower and fresh out of the tanning booth (you know that terrible smell) so excuse the lack of cuteness on my part. Not to mention running on 5 hours of sleep and a broken out face. Whew, life is treating me good.  I think I need to drink more water. The dt coke no longer works, the rum and dt coke no longer works, brandy make me puke on first swallow. Yup, maybe I need to cleanse my soul. Water.

We are still slammed at the workshop, or should I say sweatshop. Chris has been working non stop. God love her for saving the day.  We discuss this quite often at work: IRONING. We iron every piece before it goes into inventory, and then press/fluff it up before we ship. So why is it that it still gets wrinkled? How does China do it? I get a box that you know is fresh off the conveyer belt and not a single wrinkle? IS it those plastic bags they use? How the heck do they ship that stuff all the way here with no wrinkles? Lmk, it could solve a lot of arguements at the packing table.

I'll should be back full swing shortly. Thanks to some swell chic we are now a Webkinz family. David stays up all night playing, yes, that is my husband.  And I have been busily trying my hand at creating some fabric. TRYING is the key word.

And once again, the marvelous Amanda.

And my horoscope today reads "Your life is comprised of many small details that are finally starting to add up." Ahh..oh, please let this be true.

Lately, it seems like things at the worskshop are spiraling out of control.  We are busier than I ever could have anticipated. Thanks so much. It is wonderful but a lot to handle.  I have had to cancel a few art fairs which left several customers upset.

Please before you go to a show check my site to see if it has been cancelled. Please, and if you do not check don't send me a nasty email.  It upsets me so. I can't handle it. I am only one person, with a great husband, fabulous neighbor, a high school intern and Kitty's mom. We are not some big corporation. We work of a small studio less than 1500 sq feet. So please think before you speak. And for art fairs, we are even smaller. It is all made by 2 of us.  Art fair merchandise is one of a kinds, so yes, it takes quite a bit longer. Think McFly, think!

Sorry for that rant. It is just people think I am something that I am not. It irritates me. I am the girl you see at the grocery who hasn't showered in 2 days because I am up all night trying to get these darn flowers sewn on your jacket. Yes, I do love every bit of it. My husband asks me all the time why I work so much. I really do love it.

On to better things. I was googling around the other day and saw these great shots of my clothing. And it was Jenni Helmuth. Check her out. She was actually one of my first phone orders when the season opened up.

Let me tell you it is a real sweatshop in here.  Yes, someday we will get our a/c fixed. Oh, please.  Maybe if I sell enough clothes, right? I'm trying.  I think we are packing close to 25 shows a week. Whew.

I want those of you who have been emailing me to know, I'm a bit backed up on emails. Patience is a good thing, for I have none of it, so maybe you can have it for the both of us.

I'm a bit behind in everything.  The beast is still wearing 12m clothes when he needs 24m. Poor kid. I looked at him today and realized he needs some help. So no a/c, just lots of clothes for Gabe. OMG I got him so many cute things, one last stop and he'll be done. You know the credit card company even called to see if my charges were legit.   Whoever said they do not make cute boys clothes is wrong. Try Knuckleheads, The White Balloon, OliveJuice Kids, and my fave, but I have to limit myself to 2 things everytime BuandtheDuck.  He must look cute when he does all that crying.

Check out these shoes, they can be yours too at BuandtheDuck I can totally justify spending money on shoes. Afterall, he wears the same pair at least 2-3x a week.
