A quick idea
After 2 hours, my last post being deleted and this darn laptop burning my legs, I'm not too happy. And it was a good post too. So here is how it went, kinda.
Thanks to the lovely Christy, our Atlanta Trunk Keeper, I have spent the last couple hours googling and begging David for help. She sent me a link to a show she just did for Lisa. Wow, I was in awe when I saw her blog, not only are her photographs super, her blog is so sweet. So after a little help from google, Lisa, and David look what I did. Isn't my new background pretty.
So Lisa had some wonderful pics I had to share. Just you wait, they are simply charming.
We got the program today. I am so excited and tomorrow we'll get the inventory plugged in to take it for a test dirve this weekend. Yes, many of you have heard something is going on. I need to save that till tomorrow, so I am clear in all the details. Plus, I have a random act of kindness that needs pronto attention.
We were at Taco Bell tonite. Come'on who does not love their chicken quesidilla's (sp)? Plus, they really do have pretty decent fountain pop. It is Pepsi but it is good. Okay, so while I was there I saw a Mom with her 4 kids. She looked so in love with them all but yet so tired. And of course, my mind went to work and it is almost Mother's Day. So I think, with your help, we need ot do some Random Acts of Kindness. What mom does not love to see her daughter spinning in a twirly skirt, or just with a huge smile cuz she is so proud of how she looks, be it her pigtails or her cinderella shoes. Think hard, think fast. We have to express ship these by Thursday so they arrive Fri-Sat in time for the big day.
If you know a Mom at school, in your neighborhood, or just heard through a friend of someone who is down in her luck drop me an email. I cannot pick them all, 4 or 5 will have to do. And we can surprise them with box of MJC treats for them and their daughter(s). I will need ages and appr. size for the mom.
Back to work. I am so excited about the program, it will be so nice to track inventory "live". And here is to crossing our fingers the final shipment comes tomorrow. You know I really am sorry for all the backorders, they suck. All production was supposed to be recieved by March 15th, and guess what..these are the days of our lives for it is May. Thank you for your patience and I do understand your frustrations for I feel them too.

Such beautiful pictures, all of the amazing MJ pictures make me so happy and really inspire me. I have a ton of them around my office because they always make me smile.
I think your random acts of kindness is beautiful and I can only imagine how bright someone's day would be receiving some MJC in the mail no strings attached ;)
Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Aw, Denise...You are just a good person--the kind that makes you feel warm inside and inspires you to do something good yourself. Thanks so much for spreading a bit of joy, especially to those who may not have a lot of reason to smile right now! And Happy Mother's Day to you as well :).

I just love this idea! My very best friend has a beautiful young daughter (she will be 2 in August) and she is pregnant with her second daughter due in July. While she should be delighted about the upcoming arrival, she unfortunately received a startling diagnosis--the sweet little angel has a chromosonal disorder(triploidy) and the prognosis is not good for the little one. She would just love Matilda Jane goodies--I know it would brighter up her day so much!
Thank you so much for offering this up!

Have a great mom of 4 (2 of each)
Her husband is working out of town so she is a 'single parent' during the week. She does all the running around etc. They are moving so she also has to keep the house spotless for showings.
Life is a bit stressful around there and this would bring a smile to them!!
Great idea! I would love to give you the info (sizes)... just let me know!

Thank you Denise for the Random Acts of Kindness idea. The family I wrote you about will be so thrilled. They have been through so much with losing their daughter just a few weeks ago and being separated for over a year during her cancer treatment. This will be a beautiful surprise for the mom and the surviving girls. There is so much healing needed on so many levels for their family. The gift of a pretty skirt or two will truly be a joyful surprise to what will be a hard Mother's Day for this family.

Denise, what a wonderful idea....I can only imagine how happy the mom's will be! wish we could see the looks on their faces! You've inspired me to do something along the same lines...still haven't figured out what it'll be, but I will!
Thank goodness you figured out how to do the blog background cause I'm not sure I'd have found the instructions on where I did mine. It looks perfect! It magically appeared last night while I was stalking you! (ha ha) Thanks so much for posting the photos from our show (me and Christy's). The Mom's of these girls will get an early Mom's day gift!

LOVE your latest random act of kindness. Normally, I have someone I know who would be a great recipient, however, I am blessed right now that everyone I know closely enough to know that kind of info. is doing relatively well. Yay, you!!!!

hi, i think this is wonderful idea, (R.A.O.K.) There is this mom at my church that has the cutest 2yo daughter. the mom works 4 jobs just to make ends meet and then we hear that the city is going to add $400 to our water bill for a "clean water tax"...yeah $400. She was almost in tears, after hearing that and then with gas prices rising and groceries as well. I would love to suprise her with som MJC. Email me and i can get you some more details on her situation if you want.
Thanks so much!

Denise,
Can you give me your email address? I have the perfect mom for you. She is a beautiful person inside and out and it is amazing what her family has been through in the past few years and yet kept such a positive attitude. She has two beautiful girls and wanted so much to buy some MJC stuff for them, but they just could not right now. I know a box of your stuff would just touch her heart. I'll get you more details later today if you can give me the best email address to send to.

The Random acts of kindness are wonderful, although, you do this the kind acts all the time. I wish more people had the generosity you have!! Do you want the story in an email? or here as a comment? Also can it be a mom with Boys?? for Mighty Acorns? :-)

The new blog look is just so sweet & sparkling, I love it!
Wow, it looks like Christy had a fabulous show! I love seeing the clothes strung up on a line like that!
Your random acts of kindness are the best, thank you!

i love that you have a line for the mamas, too. a friend used to tell me that her mom used to tell her that her "children looked like a million dollars, but she looked like she just fell off the turnip truck." somedays, that's how i feel. it's so nice knowing that you can offer this to the moms and the kiddos. what a sweet heart you have!

Denise, this is a wonderful idea for Mother's Day. I know how special you made little Zaida and her family feel by sending them their gifts. I love your Random Acts of Kindness and this one is very touching. I am still brooding over not winning one of your many contests/random acts last fall. Heck, I attempted David cerebral puzzles. (any sympathy for me out there?)

I got a box of Matilda Jane today! Word spread sooo fast. I had people calling asking if they could come and pick up thier order and I had barely opened the box.
The girls were taking off their clothes and putting on Matilda Jane. They did not care who saw them. We were laughing at them. They were sooo excited. They were then asking me to take pictures of them. I got out the camera. They felt special!
Everyone is now anxiously awaiting the Fall line.
