Finally,

Finally it has happened to me
Right in front of my face
My feelin's can't describe it
Finally it has happened to me
Right in front of my face
And I just cannot hide it

We sat down for breakfast this morning and the waitress handed Joe a grown up menu. His eyes lit up and he threw his hands in the air. "Finally, I get this kind of menu" he shouted. Ahh, to be young again.

(one of my faves from Amanda , gosh, I miss chatting with you)

Something also tells me that some of you were feeling that way when your call actually went through on Saturday? Wow, talk about Operation Pure Mayhem, oh my, it was crazier than I could have expected. Though, the night before I dreamed no one called, they all just showed up at the door. YIKES. But I did shower, so I looked cute. Well, in my dreams I did. Anyways, I applied for Government relief for my very own natural disaster.

It is quite the long story. I'll sum it up quickly then get to what matters. The phones started ringing when I walked in at 9am. We started answering calls around 9:45. I had to let Sarah and Chris take a call to practice prior to 10 so they were not just thrown into something they had never done. They were fantastic. We were rocking with 2 land lines and my cell.  But around 10:30ish, we realized the items ordered were not being pulled from inventory and needed another game plan.  So now instead of processing an order every couple minutes, it is taking about 10 minutes.  Around 11 or so we notice the credit cards are not being processed correctly. The battery dies in one of the phones. My cell phone battery dies. We are down to one phone. Luckily, I live 5 minutes away. Now we are so backed up, we have to hand pull everything to be sure we are not overselling, and the saga continues.

I cannot tell you how nervous I was to even check my email. It sucked. I so underestimated you all. Thank you, thank you and thank you again for being such good sports. Have I told you lately that I love you?

The best news is, the program really does rock. It is gonna be so sweet for next season, talk about a smooth operator. Once we get the few bugs out we'll be ready to go. I can hardly wait, little did you know we can spend 1-4 hours a day just processing credit cards.  The program will free up that time so now we can spend 1-4 hours chatting with you on the phone!! And maybe get a lunch break.

What you really want to hear begins here.  I stayed late tonite and got almost all the orders packed, I just have to update inventory from the stuff we had to hand pull.I was hoping to get that done tonite. BUT,  I had to watch LOST, I had been waiting since Thursday. I will surely get that done tomorrow afternoon and re-post what is left. I really think there is quite a bit left.  We were busy, but were were mostly busy with fixing the "bugs" in the program so we had to call it a day early. I only ate 1 pizza, 4 candy bars and a bag of chips from 10-3. Did I mention I am a stress eater.

Please do not call Kayla and ask her what we have left. She will not know. I am doing this on the side. The workshop and shipping is plenty busy with trunk shows and back orders. The sale is my gig. That is why I have been working all weekend, they need to keep focused on the trunk shows.

Lastly, thanks for all the support, comments and emails. You made my day. David just said to me last night, "Gosh, remember when you sold online, you had the great site, the shopping cart and no customers?"  This is wonderful and I am so thankful. And so sorry that your husband had to give you the "sweetie, they are just clothes" look. I get that often too. I have stalked plenty of people, mostly over..WAIT a minute, David used to make me wake up at 4am to buy Star Wars figures. I am quite sure I never gave him the look.

Okay, I'm off to start updating and I'll let you know tomorrow after I get home from my day job at MJC.

I promise to post by tomorrow night, and for those of you whom I have spoken with I'll shoot you an email tomorrow. I had hoped it would be tonite, but you know.

We were actually camping in Lake Placid and I had to send my family on the hike while I sat where there was service and try over adn over again to call. But it was worth it. LOL! Seriously, even though I couldn't get through, I just know that I will get a knot dress for the summer somehow and hopefully last years knot dress from fall will still fit this fall. I am so glad that you are going to try and offer another sale, because I am holding out for a cool skirt and another knot dress. And hopefully I won't be camping this time! It's so much easier to do this kind of thing from home! I will say it again Denise, I am really happy to see you be so successful. While I would rather have the tangible results of your rewards, I will take the smile on my face that you are good! Really good! And I will not stoop to buying knock offs! I want the real thing!

Guilty as charged...I dialed and called all day, but no luck. It's amazing how many of us are crazy about MJ enough to kill a day for a sale-LOL!

I agree with Teresa! That ebay lady SUCKS!!!

Oh and thanks a TON for getting that song stuck in my head. :)

Now, to go obsess over what may or may not be left in the baby's size.. lol.....

The Gracie knots on ebay irritate me, too. If the gal in Plainfield, IL who ordered multiple Gracie knots were to find her order wasn't fulfilled, I don't think I'd feel terribly sympathetic;)

Adult menu, already?! Wow. I can only imagine the grin my son would have if that happened!

As for the sale, I missed the notice but I am looking through the sale album and see several things I like, if they are still there does that mean they're available?

Hope you enjoyed your Mother's Day. I couldn't resist and tried to get through, but you know the drill. ;)

The adult menu? I'm not ready for those days yet.

Wow! Your day was crazier than any of ours! You really are too nice--going back to recount and relist! But we certainly appreciate it! I got butterflies in my stomach as I read there might be a few goodies left! Now I'm just hoping for something in a 2 and a 6, and a little extra luck in getting through. My husband and I started "lucky chants" towards the end...we were getting a litte silly!

add one more of your unlucky obsessive fans! tried and tried and never got thru. for sure so excited to see if there is any 18 month stuff left! i would take whatever!
thanks for comming up with these awsome unique clothes for our little ones, and ourselves too!
cant wait to see what is left for sale! ill be trying to get thru again!!

I hope you were able to relax a little bit yesterday and enjoy being a mom!

Can't wait to see if there is anything left from your HUGE sale?!?!?

Have a fabulous day!

I agree with Melanie...we should call you D-nice! My husband loves the clothes too and is totally for me saving $$ so although he did think I was a little nuts...he definitely supported my efforts (even though they were unsuccessful). I am also dying to know what is left and how it might be sold. I hope you had a nice Mother's Day!

Kim

i can't wait to find out what is left from your saturday mayhem. i really want to paticipate in this "Denise needs a better lens for fuzzy backgrounds fund," you rock my friend. and you might want to get that pretty website of yours with shopping cart up and running again. i think it is safe to say the reality will be much different. yeah my husband was looking at me like i had two heads on saturday. i have never been more eager to spend his money than that day! lol!

Hoping you had a nice Mother's Day despite the chaos!!!I was one of the unlucky callers, literally hitting redial every ten seconds for six hours straight - okay, I confess I took some breaks to shoo away meddlesome mothers from my daughter's cheer squad and a bithday party:)

ANXIOUSSSSS to hear if anything is left - if it is any help to our cause, my older daughter wore MJ to her party and literally got stopped by complete strangers asking where we got her adorable dress:)))) So we thought happy MJ thoughts all day long!

Have a great day - I am sure it is still crazy!

Heather

YEAH! I can't wait to see what's left! I spent my saurday with a phone attached to my fingers & it would be AWESOME to still be able to get something! Anything! LOL!
Hope you had a wonderful Moher's Day!

Thank you!! We love you to. I got the look, the "Your mommy is nuts", "It's only clothes" and a "Your WORK phone is now ringing because they can't get us on the home or your cell" But - on Sunday, my list of "Why My Mommy Rocks!!" said, "Because she is crazy enough to spend all afternoon on the phone so we can look like princess." I thought I would cry!! The things we do for our kids. Denise, you really know how to bring out the best in us. The fact you work so hard all day and night on this, shows how passinate you are about what you do and it comes out in your designs. Thank you again from all!!

This makes my day! I was dialing for hours on Saturday with my list and didn't get through. Hopefully I'll have better luck this time.

Oh my gosh aren't you the BEST for giving the sale another go for those of us who weren't able to get through on the phone lines. I can't wait to see what's left and I am keeping my fingers crossed it's a pair of big ruffles in a size 4 ;) That's great news that the program does rock and I am sure it will make things easier on you and those that work for MJC.

Denise,
You have been a busy girl - I hope you had a really great mother's day, and thanks again for the Random Acts of Kindness. I received so many thank yous and nice comments about you thinking of other moms!

I can't even imagine what you guys were going through! I must admit- I was one of those 'serial' dialers. Killed 2 phones myself. I dialed for 3 hours straight and I was one of the unlucky ones - my hubby took the wee one to the park - and I definitely got that 'it's just clothes' look. Thankfully he didn't voice it. LOL - I DID get my house cleaned in between hitting the redial button and the busy signal. *winks*

Denise, I hope you did not work too much on Mother's Day. I never knew how many things I could do with one hand while hanging up and hitting redial with the other. I blew my hair dry, packed a picnic lunch, cleaned up my house, all while hitting redial! It was so exciting to get through after an hour - I couldn't believe I actually heard a voice on the line! Thanks so much for putting together this fabulous sale. I am so excited about my package of MJC to arrive at my door.

Hee hee! My husband said to the kids on Saturday "Apparently, your mommy is obsessed." Thanks for being such a trooper, and to your ladies too. I wish I could have sent you a pizza or donuts or something. Thanks too for understanding the disappointment of those of us who didn't get through. It's so nice of you to figure out what you still have and offer it up again.

My cell phone battery died too! My husbands' too! Then I had to use themboth plugged into the chargers. This morning my neck is out of whack from holding the phone to my ear with it:) I'm going to have to switch ears and shoulders (and maybe phones too!!) next time around! Don't tell anyone I work with about this though - I'm supposed to teach a class on Ergonomics this morning! (No, I'm not kidding!)

How sweet for Joe! That hasn't happened to us yet but when it does I'll probably have a good cry over it!

Yippee! I'm so glad I didn't completely miss out. i had to work on Saturday and didn't get to call in. I'll be watching to see what is left!

I remember when I first got the "grown up" menu! LOL It was a great day!

I saw those on ebay, insane. Not fair to us who want them for our little girls.
I cant wait to see what you have left!!! :)

Awesome! I hope you had a great Mother's Day in between all the craziness of your sale.
