Please, Mom???

NEW UPDATE: The sale will be ending at 3:30 Eastern.  The phones will not stop ringing. We've taken more orders than we expected and our new program is on OVERLOAD.  Thank you so much, and I'm so sorry if you haven't been able to get through.  Denise

UPDATE: PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE DISCOVERING SOME BUGS IN OUR NEW PROGRAM...SO THINGS ARE NOT RUNNING AS SMOOTHLY AS WE'D LIKE.  PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH US AS WE LEARN THIS NEW SYSTEM.

See this cute boy, Joe? All night long he has been asking, "Please mom, can I play Backyard Football?" My response, "Now sweetie, you must realize girls love clothes and they need to  have MJC and I wanna buy a new lens, so NO!! And don't ask AGAIN".  He is so patient. He does love Matilda Jane. He may just be answering the phone tomorrow if we get crazy..

Items for sale are in the "Stackin it Deep, Selling it Cheap Photo Album".

Okay, here is the lowdown:

  1. You can call at 10am EST, 260-745.1607 or 260-745-1609.
  2. Please understand that we are not set up with a huge phone system.  You may get a busy signal.  If so, just keep trying.  This sale is a one-of-a-kind event and there is no way for us to handle these phone orders like other companies may.  (But hey, at least we opened up two phone lines for it)
  3. You may get sent directly into our voicemail.  If this happens, don't leave a message as we will not be able to return your call.  Just keep trying to call. (this is kind of like what Ryan Seacrest says on American Idol about voting...if the line is busy...keep trying)
  4. If you call, and we never pick up, it either means we're on the line with another customer and can't click over to get your call (so you'll need to call back) OR we've run out of merchandise and have gone home :(
  5. Please know the item number, it will help us a ton.
  6. We have very limited qty's on everything, so if you cannot handle that an item (or items) may be sold out, be nice or don't call (oh,I am getting so mean as the clock ticks)
  7. Many items are from my art shows. Trims, bands, pockets may vary. Note: some of the hems are not rolled hems. This is not a biggie, but you know I am picky.
  8. There are no returns/exhanges NO EXCEPTIONS.
  9. Be considerate.  A lot of people have wish list. If you have an ULTRA HUGE order, please remember to save something for the sweet gal who really just wants one skirt.
  10. Patience is a must. We are using our new ordering program for the very first time, it may have bugs, we'll find out tomorrow, eh?  Plus, Chris is not the most skilled computer user!
  11. Do not plan on getting a so called "matching outfit". Most items should be thought of as "pieces". Almost everything matches the tanks form this season and Cora Ruffles. It is weird the way that happens.
  12. If you are buying to sell on eBay, please wait till the end of the day. Let's all play fair.
  13. Lastly, no I cannot take any early orders, for anyone, for any reason. Sorry.

And that is that. I need to get back to posting the pics and poor David still has to program all this into the inventory. Oh, Friday nights have never been so fun.  And guess who took these, David! And guess who won, Joe.

ok - so I also was one of the crazy women that spent my day getting a busy signal -- I also have 2 phones going and a neighbor trying to get through - oh - and my husband who was none too happy! --- Just goes to show I am not the only one with great taste! Maybe I will get lucky next time but let us know if that are any extras and how to get them!! Love your cloths Denise!! Keep up the wonderful work!!

Gee, I'm glad that I'm not the only one who needs help. Seriously, I have sore fingers from dialing your number so many times. And now it's scorched in my memory forever. Honestly, I was thinking that the only thing more frustrating than hearing the the busy signal one more time, was what you wonderful gals were doing in Ft. Wayne... Thanks for making such addictive clothing!

I too was one of the unlucky callers trying to get through with multiple phones attached to my ears all day. I even had my Mom, Mother in Law, Grandmother and neighbor trying to call with me! Denise, thank you for making such a wonderful product that all of us busy Mom's obsess over- you should be very proud of yourself! Keep up the great work and please let us know if there are any products left from the sale and how we can get them! Happy Mother's Day!

There are four phone lines into the dental office that I work. I had 2 girls on them and 2 girls on cell phones. Can you belive
I still did not get through.. And all those poor people that had tooth aches probably thought we had our phone off the hook.

Look at all of us...we're crazy...crazy for Matilda Jane...I too spent many hours of the day listening to busy signal after busy signal, ignoring my husbands "youre way too obsessed looks" and desprately hoping that i would be the next chosen one...but no, so sad for me, but so awesome and exciting for MJC!! (if this continues ladies, we Matilda Jane groupies may need to seek therapy!)

It sounds like I am not alone. I spent quite a bit of time trying to get through yesterday as well! Oh well, it was worth the try. I would assume that you do not have much left after the busy day you had but if so I am also interested! :) Congrats on all of your success!

Man, you must have been busy today! I have to share my sad, sad story with you...not so that you feel bad for me (okay, you can feel a little bit bad for me), but so that you know how much of a rock star you are! So, I live all the way over on the West Coast, and I stayed up until midnight making my list and making sure I had my numbers right. I set my alarm for 6:45 am so I could get up, and start calling at 7:00 (10:00 your time). Well...at 1:00am my husband starting throwing up. At 2:30 am my oldest daughter started throwing up. At 4:00am, my youngest daughter woke up (thankfully she never did throw up, she was just restless). And at 6:45 my alarm clock rang. I was exhausted, but I was ready. I had three phones going (yes, I had my sick husband calling on one cell phone, and I was manning the other two phones.) I called non-stop for five hours, taking two breaks to take care of my oldest daughter as she did some more throwing up...my dear husband then gave up. I kept trying...and I never looked back at your website to see that the sale ended at 3;30 EST. I just kept calling. My husband (who is now feeling worlds better) and I are just sitting here laughing at ourselves, as we are still hearing busy tones in our ears at 11:00pm. Sad story (okay, it's a little bit funny), but the point is: you are a total rock star. We didn't even have this much trouble getting tickets to a sold out U2 concert in Los Angeles! This just goes to show how much we all love your clothes! And while I'm sad I never got through, I am so happy for your success--you've worked so hard for it! And I'll just keep saving my money for the fall line--can't wait! Have a wonderful Mother's Day!

I noticed a number of things were off the website list that you were selling today, but several things remained. Are we going to still be able to buy the remaining items?

I called all day long. Even snuck out during my kids big Judo promotion! My hubby thought I was carzy but he loves your clothes too. He calls them our daughter's "hippe dippie" look. I am glad it went well for you and I am a HUGE fan but so sad that I could not get through all day:)

Well, gave it my best shot..but in the end, had to stop to take the kids to the pool (even though I called on my cell from the pool...as I sipped my Vodka Freeze-yes, I am so good at multi-tasking!).....

Computers are one of two things, a Godsend or the devil incarnate...sounds like yours had horns today! Get some rest..I am taking my sunburned body to bed! :)

Same as everyone, tried for 4 hours and even had my sister in texas calling for 2 hours! Please oh please let us know if theres anything left over and if we can purchase!!!!!

Oh my goodness! I totally missed it, lol. Well you know my kids have more MJC than we can wash in one load sooooo I'm sure we'll survive this season :) Hope it all works out for you on the computer end, if not just kick it real hard and add some rum to the coke ;)

I didn't get through today and was wondering if the individual trunk-keepers have any of last seasons stuff. If you are all sold out, I'll just wait for the new fall stuff. hope the new computer system works out!

Ok I was soooo excited about your sale. I kept looking at the clock waiting for it to turn 10:00. I had my cell phone on one ear and my home phone on the other. I literally called non-stop until 3pm. Most of the time it was busy, but all the other times I got your answering machine. I was pretty disappointed but I ordered lots of stuff at a show last week so I will look forward to getting my package in the mail. Thanks for giving me something to get excited about =)

Thank you ladies for all of your hard work! I did manage to get through and let me tell you... I feel for you guys! Denise, thank you too for offering these great deals to all of us, I know I appreciate it. Now I'm just hoping everything I ordered manages to be in stock, LOL. ;)

I think I finally give up. I've been trying since 10 a.m. almost non-stop. Few breaks to keep my sanity. They one time they answered...........somehow it was my husband calling me. I'm losing it....have my list...oh well, you made my husband very happy....my 20 month old twins could care less. They were holding their tea pot up to their ear today imitating me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
