The Look
Remeber the look your husband gave you when you dialed the phone for 2-3 hours straight? The "are you insane" look. Well, David just gave that to me as I walked in the door at 9:30 tonite and went to update inventory.
So story short, I am thrilled we do not have a single backorder left. We are free of the Wall of Shame, as we called it. It is empty.
So what is a girl to do? Well, the sale caused an uproar and it was so much fun that I need to start digging through my art fair trailer and see what else I can pull out. And there is lots, David always says, "just look in the trailer, that is where all your money is". I have decided that is the best way to do it, I went through all the orders and still have many that were sent over. What I thought was gonna be left is now becoming slim pickings. And I love selection. What a great idea is an online art fair? Afterall, I only have 2 booked this year so we have plenty of time.
I will not be able to open the sale back up until the beginning of June. It kinda sucks, but in all seriousness what I have left, is a lot of nothing. And this time I promise to have 4-5 phone lines. Please remember Kayla has no clue what we have left, she only knows what was shipped. This is kinda my side gig to test out the new computer system, which I love. BUt fear not, she is so in on the gig next time, she is the one that offered up the 3 extra phone lines and computers. Way to go Kayla and I am holding you to it.
Now before I get in more trouble, or the "Look" I have to say the reactions we have been getting from the Random Acts of Kindness have been amazing. It is so fun, and thank you. Remember, if you did not support MJC the way you do, I could never do this. So take some credit.
Lastly, I know many of you are waiting for me to email you back and I am on it. I have never had 241 messages in one day. I kinda feel cool, okay, I feel really cool.

One day I told my two year old that she could dress herself however she wanted. She put together an outfit full of colorful stripes and flowers, and she layered up like an Abercrombie and Fitch window decorator. She was fabulous as we headed for a doctor's appointment. She looked so tart that day. Your designs remind me of her eclectic choices. I love your use of color and pattern mixing and matching.

I just have to tell you, Emma was beyond thrilled to see herself here.. thank you! She asked if she was on the computer for her birthday (her birthday is tomorrow) LOL.
Thankfully my husband wasnt HOME to give me "the look" but if he had, I would told him that if his favorite motorcycle shop was having a one day sale he'd be doing the same thing. Men!!!
Cant wait to see what comes in June, that will give my bank account time to recover from Saturday's order so thats good news LOL!! Love you, love the clothes, love the blog, have a fab day.

O.K. Denise, how about some adult ruffles....I know you have to have some of those in that trailer. I have about 5 pairs of them, and can I say they are just about worn out. Size small please!!!!

Yes! Which two Art Fairs?? Fingers crossed that it somehow includes one in Indy! Your weekend sale somehow reminded me of "The Running of the Vera's" annual sale for Vera Bradley although that is live in a gym and it's cRaZy! Someday soon you will have us lining up and taking bus trips to your door for such a thing... :-)

When and where are the art fairs?
Posted by:Debbie | May 13, 2008 at 05:33 AM
That sounds like a fun idea. Too bad we can't all descend on your yard or something. Five phone lines? make sure to charge the batteries :)

Thank you for letting us know. I think it sounds like a great idea and we'll all have time to get our dialing fingers in shape.. I was so glad you did those random acts of kindness. I bet those Moms loved getting the mail that day:)

June huh? Well June is my daughter's 4th birthday and I am sure she wants more MJC right?! I guess my dream of big ruffles in some print will have to wait another month. 4 lines...YAY! I can only hope to win the MJC lotto and get in this next time. Your so awesome to be so involved and hands on in your company, I look forward to hearing from you.

I knew it would be a madhouse. I would have been one of those women frantically dialing the number, but alias, my daughter had a ballet recital to attend. Hopefully I can get in on round two in June. I love your style girl!
