This always happens to me. I write a blog, preview it, and publish it. David looks at it to proof, cuz we all know about my typos. And then gone, vanished and I get really ticked. You can never write the same blog 2x. It comes from off the top of my head. And I don't always have much up there. So I sit hear stirring that is has been deleted. And David can't understand when he says "it's no big deal". Yeah, it really is. Ya, it is kinda like saying "relax" or "settle down". Some things just should not be said when I am irritated. And that would include "what's the big deal?"
Wow, I need to go to bed real soon. It is a constant game of Beat the Clock this week. We are heading to Peru Monday and taking Joe to Indy for Star Wars in Concert. Between now and then I must get my Fall 2010 line done. You think we could just add 3 extra hours a day, but "free" hours just for me. Please. Do any of you have that power? I'll trade you some cute clothes.
So pHoTo LoVe has been narrowed down. Talk about a tight race. There were only like 5-10 votes between most of you. We'll leave it up till Wednesday at midnight (Eastern Standard Time) for you to vote for your top photo's. We'll take the top 3 and the gals at 435 will vote for the winner. Go Vote.
And because this last rambling from Gabe cracks me up.
Me: Gabe, can't you just stay small. I don't want you to get big.
Gabe: But mom, I have to.(In a super whiny voice)
Me: No you don't. You can stay small so I can carry you.
Gabe: But mom, when you go potty you get big.
Gabe: Mom, if I don't go potty my butt will get big.
Gabe: Mom, I just do. I know everything (in a real sassy tone).
And yes, he really does say Mom every sentence.

Hi Denise! My 9 year old son and I are going to the Star Wars In Concert here in Indy too! What a small world...my 2 year old daughter is staying home, though, so no MJ on display. We are really looking forward to it--my mom, stepdad, little brother, sister, and nephew are going, too. Good times!

It was so hard to pick with such wonderful photographs. I loved seeing the artistic view that each photographer took. Congrats to you all!
Safe travel.....can't wait to see what the next seasons bring us :)

I'm so in AWE of you and your kindness! I read the Uganda post and your generosity amazes me! Sometimes I think I can't afford Matilda Jane but then I think that I would rather have one dress from an awesome, caring company than 4 dresses from another company whose views aren't quite as generous and globally conscious. Keep up the good work!
P.S. I wish there were more hours in a day too! I hope you figure out how to get them so you can enlighten all of us! lol

Love this post. If you find the extra hours in a day fairy please send her my way. Love the dialog!!

I finally learned (after ten years of marriage)to make a visual list for my hubby of no more than 3-5 things to do each day during the crunch times like now, and Voila! I gain back a couple of hours!! Now his list is easy and mine takes two pages, but that's the way it goes for us busy girls...
Safe Travels!!

Denise, thank you for the sharings you do re. Joe and Gabe. They brighten days. Wishing there was something I could do to help you get everything done these next few days....maybe the warm wishes will help??
I went to the address and read about the Matilda Jane clothes you sent for the children in Uganda. Your generous spirit sends love and smiles all around the world. Matilda Jane Clothing Company.......so very special in so many ways to so many people. (Maybe you can read this on your way to Peru.) Have a safe trip.

I am right there with you on the wishing for more hours in a day. Seems like I blink and suddenly it's 1am yet again.

Other than more time...I always wish for a clone or two. One to go to work and put in 100%. One to be with the family 100%. One to clean the house, walk the dogs, etc... My husband took my 5 year old son to the Star Wars in concert. It was one of those father son bonding moments that I think will last a lifetime. My son is a super F-A-N-A-T-I-C!!!! Right now I'm being outbid on lots of Star Wars figures on ebay. You know those little three inch figures are 7.50 each new at the store? I only live about 17 miles from George Lucas. Maybe I should stalk him like I do the Matilda Jane Website.LOL. May the force be with you. Have the time of your life.

Denise, Typepad auto-saves your blog posts so you might not be losing them!!!! When you are on the page to compose look above the bar for "new post" just below the tabs and look for a yellow area that reads something like...."You have unsaved changes to a post from yesterday. You can recover the changes or discard them." Sometimes I accidentally click off my form and I've been saved by this auto save feature before.
Also, you can click on the drop down on the right side of the screen and set the status to "draft" and save it. It won't publish it to the blog - a great way to let your hubs proof it AFTER it has been saved. Change it back to Publish and save when you want it to go out to the blog. Just my little Typepad tips for today (I use typepad for 5 blogs so I'm pretty familiar with it). :)

p.s. "relax" might be the worst possible word one can say to me when I am clearly not such...right on par with walking through the house with shoes on when you knowww I just finished mopping or leaving dishes all over the counter when there is a perfectly good dishwasher several inches to its left or putting empty containers back in the fridge or... Ok, so I'm a little neurotic...just don't tell me to relax :)
crossed fingers your way sending for No MORE erased blogs!!

So here's what...I'll come spend a weekend or two a month in Indiana as your personal assistant. I'm super cheap - I work for clothes and hugs. :) no, really...lol!
P.S. What the heck is the word on that dream house, pretty lady? Inquiring minds want to know (my chamomile is in hand you just didn't give me enough reading material tonight, darn it!!)

1. Have others do some little jobs. My little girl loves a spray bottle of water and a rag. She can get some cleaning done.
2. Would Rum and Coke speed you up?
3. I do have the power over the hoursI'm given, but not to add more hours to the day that is given. Heres to you some power over the day you are given!
Much love!

I wish the same. Just a few more hours in each day. Time with my girls, time to myself, time to just enjoy my family. That is what I think I will always wish for, time with my little girls before adulthood will sweep it away. Today I just thought one day my husband and I will be just like our parents. We will cherish every moment with grandchildren if we are lucky to have them. My time with my children, I will never take forgranted.
